Camping at 10,500 feet

While Kara was in Las Vegas at a hair show. I decided to grab the kids and take them to the mountains to escape the heat of the valley. We spent the weekend up Ephraim Canyon which is my favorite hunting grounds. As you can see it is beyond beautiful. We also brought along the dogs, Jinx is my Police dog (laying down), and Harley is the old man of the house he is a twelve year old lab.

Even during late June the snow drifts made some roads impassable. When we left the valley near Manti the temperature was 93 degrees. Here one the skyline drive at 10,500 feet the temperature was 61 degrees at 3:00 p.m. There was a ton of snow and water on the mountain. Makes you wonder about the global warming theory.

My three ankle biters reviewing the video footage of our adventure. Looking at Porters knees it is obvious we played hard, and had a great time.

Megan catches her first trophy trout. I think this was one of nine for the weekend for her

Oh the comfort of camping food! For breakfast it was pancakes, eggs, and sausage. Megan likes to refer to me as her personal chef. Whitney cant wait to dig in!
